//David McNulty to continue as Chair of Surrey Heartlands

We are delighted to announce that David McNulty, who stepped down as Chief Executive from Surrey County Council on Friday, will now take the role of Independent Chair of the Surrey Heartlands health and care partnership.

David has undertaken the role of Chair of the partnership’s Transformation Board – which comprises representatives from all partners – since it was first formed in 2016, bringing valuable experience and representation from the local authority perspective and leading the Transformation Board through its formative first year and a half.

Speaking of the new Chair role David comments:  “I am delighted to continue this unique role across Surrey Heartlands, a partnership which has demonstrated a significant step-change in how organisations can work collaboratively across a health and care system.  I am particularly proud of our unique approach – our devolution agreement, our innovative Clinical Academy and the way we are engaging local citizens in the future of their local services – and very much look forward to working with colleagues to continue developing this work as we move forward.”

Surrey County Council will continue to be represented on the Transformation Board by Deputy Chief Executive Julie Fisher and Strategic Director for Adult Social Care and Public Health Helen Atkinson.”
